F80 Grade Silicon Carbide Grit

F80 grade silicon carbide is used for the first stage of rock tumbling, therefore the grains are the most coarse. F80 is great at removing significant surface imperfections and shaping rough rocks into smoother forms.

F80 can be aggressive and may not be suitable for softer or delicate rocks. If you're unsure, we'd suggest testing on a small sample before tumbling your entire batch. However, this shouldn't be the case for any rough rock we supply as everything is checked and certified to be used for rock tumbling specifically.

This is the stage 1 grit that we include in all of our grit packs.
